Collaborate with the SaniHUB Initiative

SaniHUB is an initiative based on the open-source concept, and its main objective is to disseminate knowledge and provide modern tools that support the sanitation sector.

There are several misconceptions about the meaning of the term open source, such as:

  • The simplification of the term to mean something that is free of charge;
  • The myth that large companies avoid open-source technologies.

The truth is that we are surrounded by successful open-source projects widely used by large companies and organizations, for example:

1 ) QGIS
2 ) AWS – Amazon Web Services
3 ) WordPress & Moodle (the web technologies on which the SaniHUB portal was developed)
4 ) The Linux Foundation, among others.

Behind these projects are developers, companies, and specialists dedicated to their development and maintenance, which involves costs.

Financially

If you or your company/institution are interested in customizing any of the modules for your projects, creating a new module that covers other areas of sanitation, supporting the development of new courses, or even developing an online course platform that facilitates interaction between our instructors and students, please consider supporting us financially.

Development

If you or your company/organization have experience in software development and QGIS plugins, consider joining our team to support bug fixing and the development of new features and modules.

Translation

You can assist in translation and suggest corrections to translations of all provided material, such as: books, articles, video lesson subtitles, tutorials, manuals, and news.

Documentation

Support the technical documentation of code, update and correct software manuals, publish tutorials, etc.
